What is Municipal Government?
It is a geographic area with the power to govern itself within certain limits – including providing certain services and making policies and bylaws which outline what citizens can and cannot do. Municipalities are run by councils headed by a mayor or warden which are elected by the people living within each municipality - to vote you must be at least 18 years old.

Council Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month & Committee of the Whole Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.

Please be advised that the paving phase of Sherbrooke Streetscapes Project along Main Street will start tomorrow November 22, 2022 and wrap up by November 24, 2022. Paving will be from Sherbrooke Village Supermarket to the residence at 35 Main Street and in the parking lot at 16 Main St. Traffic will be controlled stop and go with one lane open.

The Sherbrooke Public Library will be closed today (Saturday, Nov 19).
