Accessibility Tools

Sherbrooke Public Library is closed today, Wednesday, October 5.

The Municipality is working to create it's Municipal Accessibility Plan. The plan will assess the current state of accessibility within the Municipality and provide a guide for the future based on barriers identified by the community. The resulting vision will result in equitable access to community life and participation in society for people of all abilities.
You can help by completing this survey at https://forms.office.com/r/SZYtVHyVHw or hard copies are available at the Municipal Office in Sherbrooke.

The scheduled International Walk to School Day event for Wednesday, October 5th will be postponed. A new date for the event will be announced at a later date.

There is a housing data gap in Nova Scotia.
The Canadian Mortgage and Housing corporation is the main source of housing data in Canada. However, they only collect data for municipalities of 10,000 people or more, which includes vacancy rates and rental prices. 67% of municipalities in Nova Scotia have populations smaller than 10,000. It misses the housing needs of many.

There is a wide spectrum of housing needs across the province. To draw the path towards affordable, suitable and adequate housing for all Nova Scotians, we want to hear from YOU. What are your housing needs? Complete the Nova Scotia Housing Needs Assessment Public Survey at https://novascotia.ca/action-for-housing
