Residents Voice Concerns at Council Meeting on Proposed Provincial Budget Cuts

The Municipality held a Council meeting on March 4, 2026, to provide residents with an opportunity to share their concerns regarding the proposed provincial budget cuts for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.

A total of 52 residents attended the meeting, demonstrating strong community interest and concern about how the proposed reductions may affect local programs, services, and the overall well-being of the community. Council appreciates the time residents took to attend, share their perspectives, and participate in the discussion.

The Municipality has heard the concerns expressed by residents and recognizes the importance of ensuring those voices are shared with provincial decision-makers. Residents who wish to provide feedback or express their concerns directly to the Province are encouraged to contact their elected representatives.

The ideal candidate takes ownership, is organized and collaborative, and sees projects through from idea to delivery.
