The Municipality of the District of St. Mary's is seeking local families and individuals to participate in an upcoming professional photo shoot for the Visit Saint Mary's tourism website.

The photographs will be used to promote the Municipality as a tourism destination and cannot be provided to participants. However, the photographer has generously offered to provide each participating family with one complimentary professional family photograph (digital copy) taken during the session.

We are looking for approximately four participants for each of the following photo shoots:

Location #1 – Port Hilford
Saturday, August 8 (late afternoon)
Approximately 2–3 hours

Participants will be photographed enjoying active beach activities.

Location #2 – St. Mary's River
Sunday, August 9
Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. (3–4 hours)

Participants will be photographed taking part in paddling activities on the river. This will involve repeating the same scenes several times while the photographer captures different angles. Representatives from the St. Mary's River Association will be on site to provide kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and direction throughout the session.

Exact meeting times and locations will be confirmed with selected participants.

Please note:

  • Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis; however, responding does not guarantee a spot in the photo shoot.
  • Only those selected to participate will be contacted.
  • All participants will be required to sign a photo release waiver.
