The Municipality's Recreational Fishing Derby takes place tomorrow, June 10th, from 9am-12pm at Nimrod's Campground. Registration will take place by the club house. Event will take place rain or shine! Children 12 and under fish for free and everyone 13+ costs $5. There will be prizes in three age categories and door prizes. Anglers over the age of 16 require a fishing license.

The Community Development and Recreation Department is calling on all skilled individuals or organizations that would like to lead an activity at the Summer Day Camp Program this July & August. Seniors ages 55+ are invited to join instructor Joy Wier in a free painting class on June 23rd, 2023. The class will take place at the Maple Manor from 1-4pm on June 23rd. No prior knowledge is needed and all equipment is provided. This opportunity is supported through funding from the New Horizons for Seniors Program. 8 spaces are available on a first come first serve basis. Call 902-522-2598 to book your spot today.
