Director of Community Development and Recreation - Term (18 Month)

The Director of Community Development & Recreation leads the recreation and after-school programming teams to deliver recreation services and community initiatives across the Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s.
This role works closely with staff, volunteers, community groups, and partners to deliver programs, strengthen local engagement, and enhance quality of life for residents of all ages.
The ideal candidate takes ownership, is organized and collaborative, and sees projects through from idea to delivery.

The Municipality is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Economic Development to provide transformational leadership in advancing sustainable growth, attracting investment, and long-term economic resilience.
Working closely with senior staff, community partners, and the business sector, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of a forward-looking Economic Development Plan that builds on our region’s strengths and positions St. Mary’s for lasting success.
