Christmas at Sherbrooke Village Returns!

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s is proud to support and celebrate the return of Christmas at Sherbrooke Village! This cherished tradition, hosted by the provincial Sherbrooke Village Museum, brings warmth, light, and joy to our community — making the spirit of the season accessible and welcoming to all.  We recognize the dedication of the organizers, volunteers, and community partners who have worked tirelessly to bring this magical event back to life.

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary's along with Nova Scotia Power has teamed up to install 2 fast charging EV Chargers at the Municipal Office. (8296 Hwy 7, Sherbrooke NS) 
Anyone who would like to stop by between 12:00pm - 2:00pm to learn more about these stations are welcome to do so. 
We will be having a small celebration with a ribbon cutting, cake, food, and light refreshments. 
A representative from nova Scotia Power will be in attendance to answer any questions you may have.

Starting December 1, St. Mary’s recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization that is committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Nova Scotia.  Curbside collection will continue as usual and will now include more items.  As part of this program, starting December 1, 2025, you’ll be able to recycle the same materials no matter where you live across the province.  More information will be provided over the coming weeks.  To find out more, visit https://www.circularmaterials.ca/resident-provinces/nova-scotia

Please be advised that the Eastern Shore Cartage collection scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025 will take place Friday November 14, 2025.
