Month of February - African Heritage Month

The Municipality of the District of St. Mary’s Celebrates African Heritage Month
African Heritage Month is an important part of our shared history. It is a time to learn about the past, think about where we are today, and work toward a fairer future. African Nova Scotians and people of African descent have made important contributions in all areas of society, and recognizing these contributions helps create a community that values diversity, inclusion, and fairness for everyone. During this month—and throughout the year—we should continue to celebrate and respect the contributions of all people. The Municipality will fly the African Nova Scotian Flag during the month of February to show support.
